Announcements English 9
The homework for tonight was to finish annotating the "Most Dangerous Game" story. That will need to be completed by tomorrow. Just a reminder to those of you who have not turned it in yet, I need your paragraphs on both "Daedalus and Icarus" as well as "Arachne and Minerva" immediately. Not having this will drastically affect your grade.
If you ever need a recap on the annotation/color coding/outlining process, Mr. Martinet has designed a powerpoint for our use. You can find it under the handouts tab should you ever need it.
Due Monday (if I don't have it yet) is the work we did for the "Casey at the Bat" poem. Here is what I need:
4th hour: For those who have not completed the House Story paragraphs, get those done NOW! Regardless, you should all read and annotate Casey at the Bat for tomorrow.
7th hour: For those who have not completed the House Story paragraphs, you should be done with your chart of claim, evidence, and so what? by tomorrow. Those who were not in the library group working on the House Story (everyone else) should have the chart for Casey at the Bat filled out for tomorrow as well.
You can find copies of all the stories in the handouts section.
Today your homework was to finish the paragraph of the House Story and why you would rob the house. For those who were absent (or simply need a refresher) you can find both an extra copy of the house story as well as notes for what was covered.
P.S. The TAK part was an oversight. I will address that tomorrow in class.
Just a reminder, the essay on who your hero is and why is due on Tuesday when I see you next. You can look under the Assignments tab if you want an extra copy of the outline. A NOTE TO MY FOURTH PERIOD STUDENTS: The outline posted will look different than the one you worked with. However, you do not need to use this new version of the outline unless you want to.
See you Tuesday!
