Parents & Students: A reminder that attendance does count, even thought we are currently on-line.  Teachers will take attendance in their live classes. Students should take their own attendance during their Asynchronous days or the days they are not in live classes.  To take attendance on those days, students will log into their Student Portal and then click on the classes as "Present".  Teachers cab verify that attendance through their assignments and class work.
Parent/Guardian calls for absences, doctor notes, etc are all still required for student absences, just as they would be on a regular school day.  Student who are absent with no call or doctors excuse will be counted as an unexcused.

Students: Be sure you are logging into your classes through your own d60 email or your own IC portal.  Teachers will not allow you to enter a classroom if you are not on their roster, if you are logging in through your parent's portal or email, the teacher will not know who you are, and access will be denied.
KNOW YOUR STUDENT EMAIL AND PASSWORD FOR LOG INS!
YOUR STUDENT EMAIL IS:
first initial + last initial + last 4 numbers of your student ID #

YOUR STUDENT PASSWORD IS:
first initial + last initial + your full student ID number

If you do not know your student ID number, you can call the main office (549-7335) for help, or call the Help Desk at 549-7111.
Students can use their own device to access on-line learning, but will still need to have their district log in to access their portal, email, Google Classroom, etc.
SYNCHRONOUS & ASYNCHRONOUS LEARNING
We know you're at home, so we may be physically in different spaces, but 2 days per week you will be learning SYNCHRONOUSLY.  This means you will be logged in and present (according to the bell schedule) in real time, with your classmates and teachers.  
Your schedule will tell you if your SYNCHRONOUS learning days are MON-WED or TUE-THU.  You will join your classmates on-line 2 days per week, and then work ASYNCHRONOUSLY or independently the other 2 days.  (No school on Fridays!)  
This will be the same schedule you will follow when we return to in-person learning - which we hope will be very soon!
If your student registered to be completely on-line, they will also be following the Synchronous / ASynchronous learning model. Students registered for strictly on-line learning will not be doing any in-person classes when students return, they will remain exclusively on-line.


PARENTS/GUARDIANS
Every student received an envelope with important student records information when they picked up their chromebook.  Please complete this packet, and either return the envelope in person to the Centennial Main Office or drop it off in the drop box located by the main door on Mountview Drive from 7:30 to 4 pm.
